I have been talking about the pi day of the century for years now. It doesn't get more pi-ish than on March 14, 2015 at 9:26 and 53 seconds. We ordered t-shirts, cut out tons of numbers, baked lots of pies and invited many friends over to celebrate. Pi is actually a pretty fascinating little number. The fact that the decimal is infinite and never repeating is mind boggling. That means that eventually somewhere in that number sequence you can find every number that means anything to you like your PIN numbers, social security number, important dates etc. Pretty crazy, huh? But let's be honest this was really just a good excuse to eat tons of pi.

The kids were actually so excited for this party. I love that they loved it.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss 2015

Ellie is at such a fun age to celebrate Dr. Seuss Day this year. She has been looking forward to this for months. She was just as sweet as could be decorating cookies to share with her preschool class and when she woke up the morning of his birthday it may as well have been Christmas for her! Kenny loves that we celebrate at home, but was disappointed to find that the older he gets the less celebrating they do in school for Dr. Seuss.

I know it's basically the same every year but I think that's what the kids love about it. Plus it's the only time I'll buy goldfish so it's extra exciting.

I refuse to eat these but the kids love them.

Her highly anticipated breakfast. We were running behind so Kenny had to eat his in the car on the way to school.

Ellie insisted on including her kitties grandpa Doug brought her.

Apparently Bruce didn't understand he wasn't supposed to eat the cookies until we got a decent picture.

I just love the Pride beaming in Ellie's eyes. She did a great job decorating the cookies.

 

Jack Jack's first birthday

Jack's fist birthday was January 9 (according to our best guess...). When Ellie realized his birthday had passed she insisted we throw him a party. So we called up his doggy friends, made some party hats and baked a peanut butter cake for our favorite four-legged friend. It was so fun to watch Ellie play hostess and run around trying to make sure all her guests (the dogs) were having a great time at the party.

 

Ellie's Frozen Birthday Party

Ellie had been anxiously anticipating her Frozen birthday party for almost a year! She was so excited when it worked out that we got to celebrate in frozen Utah with snow all around! We rented out the ice rink at Station Park in Farmington and had lots of cousins, grandparents, family and friends there to help Ellie celebrate her special day. Year five is starting out pretty good for this little chica.

I made all the snowflake cookies and chocolate oreos in Miami and packed them in a carry on to Utah. Some people say I'm crazy, I say genius.
